The Artist

The freedom of the bush, the intrigue of wild animals, and the adventure of survival, joined forces and became some of the most powerful influences in my young life - and much of that is still the magnet which compels me to do what I do today.

I was born and raised in small town Zimbabwe, Southern Africa, where my father became my adventure hero and my mother my artistic influence. Growing up in that environment I was blessed to have almost unlimited access to the outdoors from a very young age, spending most of my free time in nature.

Three generations back on my mother's side, my great grandfather travelled the wilds of southern Africa by ox cart, a missionary from New Zealand, and reliving his footsteps is one of the most profound things that I get to do.

Two generations back on my father's side, my grandparents left life in the UK to live in the Southern African bush, and as a builder my grandfather built a number of the lodges and camps where I get to frequent, both on my photography excursions and with guests on safaris.

In recent years as our kids all left home to make homes of their own, I've immersed myself into the world of fine art nature photography, marrying my love for adventure and the great outdoors with my love for photography.

But like the generations before me, it's my love for God and family that have been my bedrock through the journey of life, and which has over the years led me on many adventures to many cultures and countries around the world.

Partnering with local Africans, I now get the privilege of taking bucket list-ers "home" - to the world and the wildlife that I know well - back to Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa.
